Ancient Context: Qadesha Arts
1754 BC, Hammurabi, Sixth King of Babylon, enacted a code of law, which protected the The Sacred Sex Worker (called Qadesha in these ancient times).
The loss of respect for those who uphold The Erotic Mysteries is one of the greatest tragedies of our modern era (even though the earliest surviving legal documents in human history clearly got our backs).
The rituals and functions of the early Sacred Sex Worker, The Temple Priestesses, included:
Promoting the fertility of land, animals, and families
Training in the sexual arts and coming of age rituals
Celebrating the pleasures of being human #sex&drugs
Healing the wounds of the soul
The temples of Inanna, Ishtar, Astarte, Aphrodite, Isis, Durga and others were unquestionably places of healing and those who served these Goddesses were known as the first doctors in ancient Mesopotamia and Sumeria.
Erotic Ecstatic: The Mystic
As sexual healers, we are not to be conflated with the savior complex archetypes. We are not here to fix, diagnose, or talk through whatever the fuck might be living inside of you.
Our job is to feel it… all of it.
It is through the full embodiment of our Erotic Energy that we are brought into Ecstatic and Mystical states - to see the invisible, hear the unsaid, feel the encrusted.
We have become masterful at moving between Dual and non-Dual states of being… intentionally holding the container for everyone’s emotional, psychological, and physical well being while simultaneously dissolving the separation between bodies, becoming one.
We dive so deep into non-Dual states that we begin to feel where the wound in another also lives in us. #ThereIsNoSeparation
It is in this non-Dual state that we unlock doors that have been barred shut in you for, potentially, lifetimes. And then, we sit as sacred witness to what unfolds in that place… without agenda, without judgement, without pressure to do anything other than be with it, feel it, and move through it.
We are some of the wildest creatures roaming planet Earth and, it is in the presences of this wildness that you feel alive, alert, and yet comfortable, at ease.
Divine Dominatrix: The Death Doula for the Living
We are born to die. Not only in the bodily death we have come to fear (the physical decay of our bodies) but also in the death of self, over and over again, in this lifetime.
